Bookkeeper – Finance Operations Support

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to join a fast‑growing professional services organisation in London. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will help maintain accurate financial records and support the day‑to‑day finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and expense claims.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.
• Post journals, cashbook entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation retention and strong financial controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc finance support and liaise with senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial record‑keeping.
• Experience carrying out bank reconciliations and processing transactions.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Proactive approach with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
