BPA Onboarding Calculations Actuary

About the role

The BPA Onboarding Calculations Actuary will join a high‑visibility team that drives the insurer’s Business Process Automation (BPA) growth. You will work on complex defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, supporting large transactions and helping shape future automation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical subject‑matter expert on complex DB pension calculations.
• Produce and review quotations, onboarding documentation and complex claims.
• Support high‑value BPA transactions and liaise with trustees, TPAs and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and drive process and tool improvements ahead of automation initiatives.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary with experience in DB pensions.
• Strong technical and regulatory knowledge of pension schemes.
• Confident communicator who enjoys stakeholder interaction.
• Motivated by variety, transformation work and developing others.
