Branch Manager – Home Improvement

About the role

This is a hands‑on Branch Manager position with a growing home‑improvement business in the outskirts of New Malden. You will be at the centre of daily operations, leading a small team, supporting customers and ensuring the branch runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small branch team.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations and workflow.
• Handle customer enquiries and support sales activity.
• Manage incoming calls, emails and general communications.
• Coordinate installation schedules and job planning.
• Provide face‑to‑face customer support when required.
• Monitor and check incoming deliveries for quantity and condition.
• Support stock handling and general goods‑in processes.
• Assist with hands‑on operational tasks as needed.
• Maintain high standards of service, organisation and efficiency.
• Support the team to meet performance and service targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong background in sales and customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to perform hands‑on operational duties when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic IT systems (email, internal software).
