Broker Relationship Manager – Business Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Broker Relationship Manager to join a fast‑growing alternative SME lender. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the development and scaling of our broker distribution network across the UK, combining relationship building with strategic business development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with NACFB commercial finance brokers and specialist mortgage intermediaries.
• Identify, approach and onboard new broker partners, expanding the introducer network.
• Act as the primary point of contact for introducers, supporting deal pre‑qualification and lending criteria.
• Manage a live pipeline of lending opportunities and re‑engage existing broker relationships.
• Attend broker meetings, networking events, conferences and industry functions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape broker acquisition strategy and provide market feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in secured SME lending, bridging finance, commercial finance or specialist lending.
• Established network of commercial finance brokers.
• Strong understanding of secured lending metrics such as LTV, charge positions and deal structures.
• Experience in a broker‑facing business development or relationship management role.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
