Build Assembly Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Build Assembly Technician to join a leading engineering company in Leicester on a permanent basis. The role involves precise mechanical and electrical assembly of high‑precision instruments, supporting both production and prototype development.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test and calibrate engineering products using a range of components, including occasional soldering.
• Interpret technical drawings and bills of materials to build items to exact specifications.
• Support prototype builds and follow detailed build instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve processes, quality and cost control.
• Maintain high output levels while meeting production deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in an assembly or similar role.
• GCSEs in Maths and English.
• Engineering qualifications such as BTEC, HNC, HND or degree are desirable.

What we offer
