Building Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Building Consultant to manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from notification through to resolution. The role blends remote digital diagnostics with on‑site inspections, allowing you to work from home while also visiting sites in your local area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end subsidence claim processes for residential and commercial properties.
• Diagnose structural defects and subsidence issues using both digital tools and on‑site assessments.
• Develop and implement mitigation and repair strategies, particularly for drainage systems.
• Coordinate with team members, service providers, and insurers throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Provide clear, empathetic communication to customers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Working towards or holding a chartered building professional qualification (e.g., MCIOB, MRICS, MICE).
• Ideally possesses an insurance qualification such as CILA or CII.
• Experience in insurance claims handling is a plus, with training provided.
