Building Maintenance Technician – Facilities Team

About the role

The Building Maintenance Technician is a key member of Mountview’s Facilities & Operations team, responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the college’s buildings, grounds, equipment and environmental services. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this hands‑on role ensures that all physical aspects of the premises remain safe, functional and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of all building areas, grounds and equipment.
• Perform manual handling tasks, work at height and operate power tools safely.
• Carry out work in confined spaces and on the exterior of the building.
• Support environmental services and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Physical, hands‑on approach with strong practical maintenance abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions from the Facilities Manager and work independently.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a busy educational environment.
