Building Services Manager – Major M&E Project in Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical delivery on a high‑profile, government‑backed development in Glasgow. The role sits at the heart of a large, complex M&E‑driven project and offers long‑term stability within a fast‑growing Tier 1 contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all mechanical and electrical building services, ensuring designs are accurate, buildable and compliant.
• Manage specialist M&E subcontractors, driving progress, quality and technical performance.
• Support the commissioning strategy and oversee a smooth handover to the client.
• Maintain regular communication and reporting to a public‑sector client.
• Collaborate with project and commercial teams to align programme schedules and cost targets.

Required profile

• Strong background in building services, preferably on large‑scale or high‑specification projects.
• Proven experience coordinating or managing mechanical subcontract packages.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, especially with design consultants and demanding clients.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset and confidence working within a Tier 1 contractor environment.
