Building Surveyor – APC Fast‑track (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Building Surveyor to join Marks Consulting Partners in Edinburgh. This APC‑track position offers real project responsibility from day one, combining site work with supportive mentorship to accelerate chartership.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out building surveys, dilapidations and condition reports (RCAs) for rural, commercial and private clients.
• Attend sites regularly, gather data and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Support live project delivery, liaising with clients and senior surveyors.
• Progress toward APC chartership with structured guidance and accelerated exposure.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying or a closely related field.
• Strong commitment to the APC pathway and desire for rapid progression.
• Willingness to travel to sites and work flexibly.
• Team‑player with initiative and curiosity.

Required skills

• Understanding of building survey methodology and dilapidation processes.
• Ability to produce accurate condition reports and recommendations.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
