Building Surveyor – London (West End)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join our busy West End team. The role offers a balanced mix of high‑end residential pre‑acquisition work and commercial occupier‑side projects for blue‑chip clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct building surveys, pre‑acquisition surveys and produce due‑diligence reports.
• Prepare and negotiate Schedules of Dilapidations and Schedules of Condition.
• Deliver feasibility studies, defect diagnosis and maintenance strategy recommendations.
• Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent on refurbishment, fit‑out and new‑build projects.
• Manage occupier‑side fit‑outs and relocations (5,000–20,000 sq ft) and coordinate with Project Management and Quantity Surveying teams.
• Provide technical and strategic advice to corporate occupier and high‑end residential clients.

Required profile

• MRICS‑qualified Building Surveyor with 2–15 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong commercial surveying background; residential experience is a plus.
• Experience of dilapidations, pre‑acquisition and fit‑out projects.
• Excellent reporting, client‑management and independent project‑delivery skills.
