Building Surveyor – Minor Works

About the role

We are seeking a Building Surveyor with experience in minor works and refurbishment to join a growing engineering and technology consultancy. You will provide technical and surveying expertise across a diverse property portfolio, supporting projects from early concept through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, condition surveys and building assessments on a variety of properties.
• Identify defects, develop scopes of work and specifications for refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Support feasibility studies and early‑stage design (RIBA 0‑4) with technical input.
• Produce technical reports that ensure compliance with UK building regulations and planning requirements.
• Travel UK‑wide for occasional site visits.

Required profile

• Background as a Building Surveyor, Architectural Technician or similar technical role.
• Strong experience in refurbishment, minor works and upgrade projects within existing buildings.
• Good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements and compliance standards.
