Building Surveyor – Subsidence (Remote – Leeds)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor specialising in subsidence to join our team on a remote basis covering the Leeds area. You will work on domestic and commercial insurance claims, providing expert technical assessments and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional subsidence and building surveying services for insurance claims.
• Attend sites to carry out technical assessments and investigate claims.
• Manage your own portfolio efficiently to meet business goals and service level agreements.
• Visit damaged properties, diagnose structural issues, and determine technical and insurance requirements for reinstatement.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, local authorities, contractors and other stakeholders to achieve fair and timely claim resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records in the claims management system.
• Support colleagues across the UK and contribute to a culture of shared expertise.
• Uphold company policies and champion fair treatment of customers.

Required profile

• Prior experience in subsidence assessment or loss adjusting.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB or C.BuildE are desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and customer‑service skills.
