Building Surveyor – Up to £50,000 per annum

About the role

Time Recruitment is partnering with a growing real‑estate group to recruit a Building Surveyor for their Wilmslow office. The role offers exposure to a wide range of surveying services, project management and client advisory work across commercial and residential portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out building inspections, condition surveys and defect analysis.
• Identify maintenance needs and produce recommendations.
• Assist with schedules of condition, dilapidations and technical specifications.
• Support refurbishment and maintenance projects, preparing documentation and tender information.
• Monitor project progress, programme performance and financial reporting.
• Attend site meetings, liaise with contractors, consultants and clients.
• Handle contract administration duties, reviewing valuations and variations.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, planning requirements and industry standards.
• Produce technical reports, project updates and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good understanding of construction methods, building technology and relevant legislation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desirable experience in a building surveying or construction environment.
