Bus Driver (Trainee & Qualified) – Bolton

About the role

Join Go North West’s Elite Driver Academy and serve the Greater Manchester community as a bus driver based in Bolton. Whether you are starting your career or already hold a PCV licence, you will receive comprehensive training at the Queens Road depot in Manchester and then operate on busy routes, including the high‑frequency 135 service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a bus safely on scheduled routes across Greater Manchester, adhering to timetables and traffic regulations.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to passengers, assisting with enquiries and ensuring a pleasant journey.
• Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness and report any technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with fellow drivers and support staff to meet performance and safety targets.
• Act as a community ambassador, promoting a positive image of public transport.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Positive, outgoing attitude with strong communication skills.
• Commitment to punctuality, safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to complete training and obtain a PCV licence if not already held.
