Business Advisory Manager

About the role

The Business Advisory Manager will join a fast‑growing specialist team that supports businesses facing financial distress, particularly those with VAT, PAYE and National Insurance arrears. You will work closely with HMRC, asset‑based lenders and internal restructuring, funding and legal teams to help clients survive and recover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client meetings from initial contact through to case appointment and ongoing management.
• Prepare profit and loss statements and cash‑flow forecasts to underpin HMRC repayment plans.
• Draft negotiation reports for HMRC and concise business reviews for clients.
• Liaise with business owners and directors to collect essential financial and operational data.
• Support senior managers in designing and delivering tailored cash‑management strategies for distressed companies.
• Coordinate with asset‑based lenders, providing accurate financial projections and supporting documentation.
• Manage a portfolio of client cases, ensuring timely progression and effective communication.
• Assist in transaction processes, including information pack preparation, financial analysis and client correspondence.

Required profile

• Accountancy qualification (desirable).
• Self‑driven with a positive outlook.
• Motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
