Business Analyst – 12 Month Fixed-Term, Hybrid, Up to £42k

About the role

Our client in Exeter is looking for a proactive Business Analyst on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working in a flexible hybrid model, you will bridge business objectives and technology solutions, turning stakeholder needs into clear, actionable specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements across multiple projects.
• Maintain and prioritise requirements to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Produce clear documentation such as specifications, user stories, process maps and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with product specialists, developers, testers and other teams to clarify requirements throughout delivery.
• Support data‑related activities including data mapping, validation and quality assurance.
• Engage stakeholders to promote understanding, alignment and informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within software delivery or system change.
• Proven ability to work with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting system implementation or transformation projects.
• Desirable experience with data migration or data‑focused work.
