Business Analyst – Inside IR35 – Back Office Migration

About the role

We are supporting a global financial services organisation on a 12‑month OMS migration programme that modernises back‑office settlement and accounting platforms. The role is based in the City of London, three days a week on‑site, and operates inside IR35.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit and document business requirements, process flows and data mappings for settlement and accounting systems.
• Analyse current (as‑is) and future (to‑be) processes, including trade settlement, netting, cash and securities movements, booking models and accounting flows.
• Support functional design, data migration, reconciliations and legacy system de‑commissioning.
• Plan and execute UAT, define test scenarios, coordinate testing and manage defect triage.
• Assist with parallel runs and post‑implementation validation to ensure data accuracy and operational control.
• Ensure all changes comply with governance, risk and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in back‑office or post‑trade environments.
• Strong understanding of settlements, accounting flows and financial reconciliations.
• Experience delivering large‑scale system migrations or change programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management across Operations, Finance, Risk and Technology.
