Business Analyst - Laboratory Informatics (LIMS System)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join a technology team within a leading Life Sciences organisation. The role focuses on the development and evolution of laboratory informatics (LIMS) systems, working in a hybrid setting based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, data and scientific stakeholders to drive system enhancements.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Design and optimise workflows alongside business users and technical teams.
• Support the delivery of technology solutions that enable cutting‑edge research.
• Act as product or system owner for business‑critical platforms where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering and supporting complex or niche IT systems.
• Strong background in Business Analysis, including requirements gathering and system improvement.
• Experience implementing, administering or evolving enterprise business systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management in cross‑functional or matrix environments.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is highly desirable.
• Background in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sectors is an advantage.
• Exposure to data pipelines and collaboration with Data Engineering teams.
• BCS/ISEB Business Analysis qualification or equivalent is beneficial.
