Business Analyst – Public Sector Transformation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a large‑scale mobilisation programme within the public sector. The role sits in a multi‑disciplinary technology team delivering a new facilities and workplace management operating model across a complex national estate.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, document and refine business requirements with stakeholders.
• Manage requirements through the full project lifecycle from discovery to testing and go‑live.
• Facilitate workshops to resolve gaps and ambiguities.
• Create and maintain process maps using Visio.
• Define functional requirements and ensure traceability to design and testing.
• Support developers and test teams to verify solutions meet agreed requirements.
• Assist with transition of processes, documentation and knowledge to business‑as‑usual support teams.

Required profile

• Public sector experience is essential.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large transformation or mobilisation programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering and management capability.
• Experience creating detailed process maps and transactional workflows.
• Ability to run stakeholder workshops and drive decisions.
• Experience working across technology and business teams.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Required skills

• Visio process‑mapping.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of data definitions or data dictionaries.
