Business Analyst – Transformation Team

About the role

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Transformation team. You will help deliver meaningful change across the organisation by analysing current processes, identifying improvement opportunities and shaping practical solutions that add value for colleagues and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing business processes, systems and behaviours to uncover improvement opportunities.
• Apply systems thinking to understand cross‑functional interactions and support strategic transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Transformation Leads, Change, Delivery and PMO colleagues to ensure solutions are evidence‑based and sustainable.
• Develop clear, actionable business requirements and support the design, testing and implementation of new ways of working.
• Help embed change by monitoring outcomes and recommending refinements post‑implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis or transformation projects, preferably within a public‑sector or regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on delivering measurable impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid model, attending the Manchester office as required.
