Business Change Programme Manager

About the role

You will lead a portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives across stores, head office and digital operations for a fast‑growing retail organisation. The role focuses on modernising systems, simplifying processes and introducing new ways of working that improve both the customer journey and colleague experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex business and technology transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop and embed a consistent change framework, providing governance, structure and best practice across all initiatives.
• Deliver programmes that improve operational efficiency across stores, head office, logistics and digital channels.
• Support implementation of new retail technologies, business systems and process improvements, ensuring successful adoption.
• Oversee programme plans, budgets, risks and dependencies to achieve intended business benefits.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise initiatives and adapt delivery plans as priorities evolve.
• Coordinate resources across multiple programmes, focusing teams on highest‑value initiatives.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial teams to drive cross‑functional change.
• Champion continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and embedding sustainable change.
• Produce regular reporting for leadership, providing insight into progress, benefits realisation and key risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business change or transformation roles within retail or a comparable sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering large‑scale programmes on time and within budget.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and adapt to evolving priorities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £80,000‑£90,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working – 4 days on‑site in London (SW11) and 1 day remote.
