Business Development Associate

About the role

In this new Business Development Associate role you will help grow the bank’s franchise by targeting businesses that are not currently customers. You will design and execute strategies to engage key decision‑makers, build relationships and encourage them to consider transferring their banking relationship to us. The position works flexibly across Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds or Chester with a hybrid working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify target prospects using market intelligence tools to build a strong pipeline.
• Conduct outreach following a set methodology to introduce services and generate interest.
• Book prospect meetings for relationship managers.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records in CRM systems and update pipeline statuses.
• Collaborate with Relationship Directors to support client interaction and business development activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer‑facing role within financial services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Confident and resilient approach to client interaction.
• Prompt follow‑through with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver against financial targets.
