Business Development Consultant – Professional Services

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning law firm specialising in real‑estate matters for multinational organisations, is looking for an experienced Business Development Consultant. Working closely with the department head, you will identify and secure new opportunities across the mid‑market and global real‑estate sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and lead introductory meetings with target contacts.
• Secure revenue streams with new clients and referral partners, collaborating with fee earners during negotiations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and referrers.
• Analyse departmental BD data to pinpoint growth areas and improve performance.
• Manage CRM records accurately and ensure up‑to‑date documentation.
• Research and attend key sector events for networking.
• Coach partners and fee earners on lead generation, BD techniques, and relationship management.
• Work with Marketing and the BD head to produce current brochures and pitch materials.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of successful business development experience in a law firm or comparable professional‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of real‑estate law and the ability to thrive in a target‑driven, fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented attitude with a full UK driving licence.
