Business Development Consultant – Social Care Solutions

About the role

As a Business Development Consultant you will lead the acquisition of new public‑sector clients, focusing on local authorities and social‑care organisations. You will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing long‑term partnerships, and work closely with internal specialists to deliver tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new clients across local authorities and public‑sector bodies.
• Build and maintain a targeted pipeline using CRM and market insight.
• Conduct cold calling, outreach and networking to generate meetings.
• Engage senior stakeholders, understand their workforce challenges and position appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with internal experts to create and present customised proposals.
• Convert opportunities into successful, long‑term business wins.

Required profile

• Proven track record of winning new business in a business‑development or sales role.
• Strong experience in cold outreach, pipeline building and deal conversion.
• Confidence engaging and influencing senior decision‑makers.
• Demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets and work towards measurable goals.

• HubSpot (CRM platform)
