Business Development Director – Estate Agency

About the role

Join one of North London’s most successful independent estate agencies as the Business Development Director. You will lead the client services team while driving new business initiatives to grow market share and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and train the client services team to meet service targets and KPIs.
• Monitor and enhance the client experience, developing strategies for retention and loyalty.
• Identify and target new prospects (homeowners, landlords, developers) through cold calling, canvassing and networking.
• Build and manage a pipeline of leads, converting them into valuations and new business opportunities.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with property regulations and industry standards (ARLA, RICS).
• Stay updated on London market trends and competitor activity to inform client conversations.
• Collaborate with sales and lettings teams to optimise hand‑overs and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Maintain accurate client records in the CRM and produce regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Proactive, customer‑focused mindset with strong leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse data and use a data‑driven approach to performance management.
• Solid understanding of the London property market and relevant regulations.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for client management.
• Knowledge of ARLA and RICS guidelines.
