Business Development Executive – Field Sales

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to expand our customer base across Southern England and the Midlands. The role blends office work with field‑based sales, requiring frequent travel and occasional overnight stays. You will represent a market‑leading provider of Hire & Reward motor insurance for minicab, taxi, chauffeur, delivery drivers and instructors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in the assigned region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Manage the sales pipeline, keep accurate records and update CRM systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a high‑quality service for customers.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback to support growth.
• Achieve agreed sales targets, objectives and activity KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field sales, business development or a similar sales role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proactive approach to lead generation and follow‑up.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a diary.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and use initiative.
• Commercial awareness and a results‑focused mindset.
• Full UK driving licence (required).
