Business Development Executive

About the role

As a Business Development Executive you will own the generation of new business opportunities for a global manufacturer of bespoke solutions. Working from our Northwich office with hybrid flexibility, you will focus on outbound prospecting to expand the customer base across the UK and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach and networking.
• Identify and qualify prospects across multiple industries and regions.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and arrange meetings or product demonstrations.
• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate activity records in the CRM system.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or lead generation.
• Strong drive, resilience and a passion for winning new business.
• Comfortable with high‑volume outbound prospecting and cold calling.
• Self‑starter able to work independently and manage workload.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
• Ambitious, results‑focused and eager to build a long‑term career.

Required skills

• CRM (experience using a customer relationship management system).
