Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join a growing construction business in Hemel Hempstead. Working on a hybrid basis, you will drive new business growth and manage the complete sales cycle, from enquiry to order completion.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales process from initial enquiry through to order completion.
• Develop new business opportunities and build long‑term client relationships.
• Liaise with architects, customers and internal departments to support projects and sales activity.
• Prepare quotations and process customer orders accurately.
• Calculate costs and provide accurate pricing, working in both euros and pounds.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales journey.
• Maintain CRM records and sales documentation.
• Support the team with general sales administration and reporting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in business development, internal sales or account management.
• Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
• Confident building relationships with landscape architects, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
