Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will support a leading US law firm’s growth strategy across core and emerging practice areas. Working from a modern office in the heart of London, you will collaborate directly with partners, senior associates and other key stakeholders to drive business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end RFPs, pitches and proposals, ensuring high‑quality client‑facing documents.
• Support the planning and delivery of client seminars, receptions, news articles, biographies and other marketing events.
• Draft and implement marketing plans and business development activities.
• Prepare pitches, proposals, directory and awards submissions, and client presentations for partners.
• Maintain deal lists, client and industry databases, and ensure accurate data for marketing collateral.
• Oversee production, editing and distribution of external communications such as client alerts and event invitations.
• Liaise with the firm’s public‑relations agency on media announcements.

Required profile

• Degree‑educated with a minimum of two years’ experience in an international law‑firm environment.
• Proven experience preparing pitches, tenders and other client‑facing documents.
• Strong initiative, ability to work independently and as part of a team with a customer‑service focus.
• Discreet handling of confidential and sensitive information.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM databases, preferably InterAction.
