Business Development Executive – Shipping

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to drive growth within our shipping division. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence across sea, air, and road freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the shipping and freight forwarding sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Promote a full suite of shipping solutions, including sea freight, air freight, road freight, customs clearance, and warehousing.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and negotiate rates to secure contracts.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Operations, and Customer Service teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, customer records, and pipeline data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Shipping, Logistics or a related field.
• 5–6 years of business development or sales experience in shipping, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on sea‑freight experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
