Business Development Lead – Apprenticeships

About the role

We are expanding our apprenticeship offering and need a Business Development Lead to build relationships with commercial employers and generate Business Administrator apprenticeship starts across the UK. The role is remote‑first and will focus on creating high‑quality apprenticeship opportunities while supporting future business and digital pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and develop new commercial employer relationships nationally.
• Generate Business Administrator apprenticeship opportunities and convert employer interest into confirmed starts.
• Collaborate with recruitment, delivery and apprenticeship teams to match solutions to employer needs.
• Maintain ongoing relationships to secure repeat cohorts and support growth of broader business and digital pathways.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employers from onboarding through to long‑term partnership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development within commercial sectors.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills with employers.
• Ability to understand workforce development and apprenticeship needs.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable working remotely and managing a national pipeline.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
