Business Development Manager – Blinds & Shutters

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of our premium range of window blinds, shades and shutters across the UK. The role is field‑based, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts within the window‑shading market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research prospective customers across the blinds and shutters sector.
• Develop and deliver outreach strategies, including presentations and product demonstrations.
• Convert leads into active clients through negotiation and relationship building, consistently meeting sales targets.
• Manage and grow existing accounts, conduct regular client visits, and identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts, and maintain accurate CRM records of the sales pipeline.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and performance updates, and handle administrative tasks such as expenses.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform business improvements.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and collaborate with internal marketing and operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience in a target‑driven environment.
• Strong track record in new business development and account growth.
• Excellent time‑management and territory‑planning abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
