Business Development Manager – CCTV

About the role

This is a field‑sales position focused on selling high‑end CCTV, intruder alarm, access‑control and fire‑alarm solutions, together with in‑house monitoring services. The role covers the South of Birmingham area and aims to generate £400k‑£600k of new business revenue each year.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers across high‑net‑worth individuals, heritage properties, local authorities and educational institutions.
• Promote and sell turn‑key security solutions, including CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms and monitoring services.
• Manage projects ranging from £2,000 to £100,000, with an average order value of around £30,000.
• Leverage personal network and industry contacts to expand market reach.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure high levels of service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years proven field‑sales experience in security or related technology.
• Track record of selling at least one of: CCTV, intruder alarms, access control or fire alarms.
• Knowledge of NSI and/or FIA regulations is advantageous.
• Self‑motivated, autonomous new‑business hunter.
• Electrical or engineering qualification or prior technical role experience.

• Salary £45,000‑£55,000 per year plus uncapped OTE (up to £100,000).
