Business Development Manager (Composite Decking)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to grow sales of our composite decking range across building merchants, timber merchants and the construction sector. The role is a blend of field work and office time, based in Stevenage, with a focus on developing existing accounts and generating new business.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase histories to identify sales opportunities and devise a sales strategy.
• Cross‑sell and increase spend within existing accounts.
• Prepare and present quotes for construction projects, liaising with project managers, quantity surveyors and estimators.
• Visit customers, deliver presentations and represent the company at trade events and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and ability to commute to Stevenage.
• Proven sales experience within timber, decking or building‑merchant environments.
• Strong understanding of the construction supply chain.

• Base salary £35,000‑£45,000 per year.
