Business Development Manager – Construction Products

About the role

This field‑based Business Development Manager role will own an established territory covering West & South West London, Surrey and the South Coast down to Portsmouth. You will nurture existing customer relationships and actively pursue new opportunities within the construction, civils and groundworks sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business across the assigned region.
• Strengthen relationships with groundworkers, civil engineering contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Maximise sales from existing accounts while acquiring new customers.
• Identify upcoming projects and engage early in the construction process.
• Promote a comprehensive portfolio of specialist construction products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service from enquiry to delivery.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and manage opportunities via the CRM system.
• Represent the company professionally and build long‑term partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales track record in construction products, civils or groundworks.
• Existing contacts with groundworkers, civil contractors or specialist subcontractors (highly advantageous).
• Strong commercial awareness and a consultative selling approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and capable of managing a territory independently.

• Salary range £50,000‑£65,000 per year.
