Business Development Manager – Contractors & Installers

About the role

Rexel is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth within its Contractors & Installers division. Based in Leeds, you will create new revenue opportunities, expand market share and build lasting partnerships across the electrical wholesale sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a data‑driven strategic roadmap to increase market share within a defined geography or product segment.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of customer partnerships and long‑term strategic relationships.
• Design tailored value propositions using preferred suppliers to drive innovation and profitability.
• Manage regional pricing, margins and contract profitability.
• Adapt strategies to market changes and promote multichannel adoption.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience and on‑time delivery through collaboration with internal experts.
• Upskill branch teams, define clear account ownership and conduct regular performance reviews.

Required profile

• Proven sales and business development experience in a B2B environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data insights for strategic planning.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and a focus on long‑term partnership creation.
• Ability to influence pricing and profitability decisions.
• Results‑oriented attitude with a track record of achieving growth targets.
