Business Development Manager – Corporate (Private Equity)

About the role

This fixed‑term position supports a leading UK law firm’s Private Equity and Corporate practice during a firm‑wide transformation. Reporting to senior BD leadership, you will own the business development and marketing delivery for Private Equity while contributing to broader Corporate priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Private Equity BD and marketing plans.
• Drive PE‑focused business development across multiple Corporate practice groups.
• Identify origination opportunities, build a robust pipeline and support pitches, credentials and new‑business proposals.
• Lead thought‑leadership campaigns, client communications, events and award submissions.
• Collaborate with partners, lawyers and international teams to cross‑sell services.

Required profile

• Proven BD manager‑level experience within legal or professional services.
• Strong understanding of Private Equity and Corporate sectors.
• Commercial confidence when advising senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised, detail‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using CRM data to inform targeting and decisions.
