Business Development Manager - Cyber Security & Critical Network Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth of our cyber security and critical network infrastructure solutions within the UK public sector. The role focuses on securing new contracts with Central Government, MOD, GCHQ, DEFRA and related agencies, working remotely with national travel as required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting Central Government accounts.
• Identify, pursue and close high‑value opportunities for cyber security and network infrastructure solutions.
• Engage senior stakeholders, procurement teams and technical decision‑makers across MOD, GCHQ, DEFRA and other departments.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award.
• Maintain a robust pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
• Collaborate with technical, bid and delivery teams to craft compelling proposals.
• Stay current on government frameworks, procurement routes and market trends.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven success in business development or sales of cyber security and/or critical network infrastructure solutions.
• Established network of contacts within Central Government, MOD, GCHQ, DEFRA and associated agencies.
• Strong track record of winning high‑value public‑sector contracts.
• Experience navigating complex government procurement cycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
• Current SC clearance (DV clearance highly desirable).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

• Competitive salary £100,000‑£110,000 per year.
