Business Development Manager – Electrical, Industrial & PPE

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Electrical, Industrial, Tools and PPE sectors. Based in Braintree, you will identify new market opportunities, build strategic customer relationships and expand existing accounts across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies targeting priority sectors, territories and channels.
• Identify, secure and grow new and existing customer accounts.
• Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, sales agents and strategic partners.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and pricing to uncover commercial opportunities.
• Recommend new products, services and market approaches based on customer feedback.
• Manage commercial projects from opportunity through to implementation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and produce regular reports on pipeline and performance.
• Travel throughout the UK, Ireland and internationally to meet customers and support growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with a proven track record in business development or sales.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and translate insights into action.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per year.
