Business Development Manager – Energy Infrastructure

About the role

Join a fast‑growing market disruptor that is at the heart of the UK Net Zero transition. As a Business Development Manager you will drive high‑value infrastructure deals across the Midlands, North East and Scotland, focusing on battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations and control buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Map the market and identify key stakeholders within Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPCs, DNOs and major energy infrastructure players.
• Design and execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns, using LinkedIn, phone calls and creative networking tactics.
• Qualify opportunities, build trust‑based relationships and maintain accurate records in the CRM.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to structure complex infrastructure deals and support rapid scaling.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of substation housing and control building solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial or business development role.
• Exposure to the energy sector, EPCs or trade associations is highly desirable.
• Strong social assertiveness and confidence when engaging senior stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated hustler who enjoys on‑site visits and visual learning.
• Based near the Midlands, Manchester or Glasgow, or able to travel easily to these regions.
