Business Development Manager (Field-Based) – Business Insolvency

About the role
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to work on the road across the UK, engaging directly with business owners who may be facing financial distress. This front‑end, relationship‑focused position involves generating leads, meeting directors, and passing qualified opportunities to our Insolvency Practitioners.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively generate leads and set appointments, primarily through accountants and professional introducers.
- Attend face‑to‑face meetings with company directors to gather business and financial information.
- Build and maintain referral relationships with accountants and other intermediaries.
- Accurately capture and relay case details to the Insolvency Practitioner.
- Manage your own diary, pipeline, and territory.
- Represent the business professionally and compliantly at all times.
Required profile
- Proven background in business development, sales, or field‑based development, preferably in professional or financial services.
- Comfortable meeting business owners face‑to‑face and discussing sensitive financial matters.
- Highly self‑motivated with the ability to generate own leads.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload.
- Full UK driving licence and own car.
- Understanding of the SME or professional services landscape is beneficial.
Required skills
What we offer
- £40,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission (OTE £80,000+).
