Business Development Manager – Field Sales

About the role

We are seeking a confident and driven Business Development Manager to join a national organisation expanding its presence in Plymouth. This field‑based sales role focuses on acquiring new customers, building strong relationships and generating revenue across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through door‑to‑door prospecting, networking and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Maintain a professional brand presence while representing the company in the field.
• Occasionally attend the office for administrative and reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field‑based sales or business development.
• Highly confident, self‑motivated and comfortable approaching new prospects.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Resilient, target‑driven and eager to succeed.
• Well‑organized with the ability to manage your own diary and workload.
