Business Development Manager - Fixed Wire Testing

About the role

This newly created position offers a technically‑minded Business Development Manager the chance to shape and grow a fixed wire testing service within an established specialist contractor. You will work across the West Midlands and travel nationwide to meet commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for fixed wire testing and related electrical services.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, end‑users and commercial clients.
• Meet clients on‑site to understand project requirements and translate them into viable proposals.
• Prepare, price and present quotations for electrical works.
• Support the expansion of the new service line and collaborate with the wider team.

Required profile

• Electrical background – preferably as an electrician or within electrical services.
• Proven sales or business development experience in the electrical or construction sector.
• Confidence in quoting and pricing electrical works.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build client relationships.
