Business Development Manager – FMCG (South East England)

About the role

Jackson Hogg is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South East territory, covering London, Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Ipswich and Cambridgeshire. This customer‑facing, field‑based position focuses on winning new business and expanding existing accounts within the Foodservice Wholesale and Vending sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and increase gross profit across the assigned territory.
• Win new business and deepen relationships with Foodservice and Vending customers.
• Manage and retain existing accounts, ensuring long‑term partnership value.
• Identify and convert opportunities through proactive, needs‑based selling.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across drinks, snacks and consumables.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to stay commercially competitive.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver value to customers.
• Plan and execute regular travel and customer visits throughout the territory.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field‑based sales or business development experience.
• Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret financial data.
• Tenacious, proactive and customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with business owners.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
