Business Development Manager – FMCG/Retail

About the role

We are a fast‑growing FMCG‑aligned retail services business expanding across the East of England. As a Business Development Manager you will own a high‑potential territory, build relationships with independent retailers, wholesale partners and multi‑site operators, and drive the adoption of our comprehensive retail service suite.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of a defined region, shaping its growth strategy and outcomes.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with independent retailers, wholesale partners and multi‑site operators.
• Introduce a broad range of operational, commercial and wholesale support services.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, opening doors in an untapped market.
• Work autonomously with a strategic mindset to deliver measurable impact.

Required profile

• Proven field‑based B2B sales experience within FMCG, wholesale, retail or a related sector.
• Track record of developing territories or growing under‑penetrated regions.
• Confidence in generating own opportunities through a proactive approach.
• Consultative, relationship‑led sales style with strong understanding of the retail landscape.
• Long‑term mindset, integrity and drive to contribute meaningfully to a growing business.
