Business Development Manager (Food Industry)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the food, ingredient or medical sectors. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work from home while maintaining a strong presence in Peterborough and travelling internationally to meet key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own diary, generate leads and build a new business pipeline.
• Develop and nurture client accounts across the UK and overseas.
• Conduct face‑to‑face or virtual meetings with potential customers.
• Collaborate with a small, growing sales team to achieve revenue targets.
• Represent the company at international trade events and client visits.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in new‑business development within the food, ingredient or medical industries.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Peterborough.
• Self‑motivated, autonomous and comfortable working remotely.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
