Business Development Manager – Food Service (Seafood)

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand a premium fresh and frozen foodservice supplier’s restaurant business across London. This hunting, new‑business role blends relationship building with independent restaurants and strategic procurement boardrooms.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the business by targeting premium multi‑site restaurant groups and emerging branded concepts, primarily in central London.
• Protect and expand a warm base of accounts through regular visits, range extensions and new product development.
• Open 3–4 new accounts each month, aiming for approximately £20k of new business monthly.
• Develop a secondary pipeline across Mediterranean/European and other HORECA cuisines.
• Lead tenders, pricing and supply proposals, and manage multi‑site mobilisations after wins.
• Maintain an accurate, disciplined CRM pipeline.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of foodservice field sales experience, ideally with premium or luxury multi‑site restaurant groups.
• Experience with Pan‑Asian/Japanese customers is a plus; contract catering or travel tendering is beneficial but not essential.
• Credibility with group executive chefs, procurement teams, and founders of fast‑growing chains.
• Strong written communication for proposals and tenders.
• Commercial, entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a non‑corporate environment.
