Business Development Manager – Gas Detection & Safety Solutions

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of gas detection sensors and safety systems, is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its market presence across a range of industrial sectors. This role goes beyond traditional sales, acting as a trusted advisor who helps customers select the right monitoring solutions to improve safety and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own strategic relationships with existing national accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Promote fixed and portable gas detection systems, sensor technologies and associated safety equipment.
• Develop and execute account plans, targeting diverse industries such as energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and utilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical and operations teams to deliver tailored safety solutions.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecast revenue and achieve growth targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, technical sales or account management within industrial or safety equipment markets.
• Strong commercial acumen with a consultative selling approach.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
