Business Development Manager – Innovation Incentives

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Innovation Incentives practice. Based in Bristol with a hybrid working model, you will help innovative UK companies access R&D tax relief, Patent Box, grants and other funding opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively source and secure new business across the full innovation incentives portfolio.
• Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline of prospects and existing clients.
• Cross‑sell R&D tax relief, Patent Box, grants, capital allowances and related services.
• Develop compelling value propositions and “hooks” for senior decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with technical, marketing and leadership teams to convert opportunities into delivered projects.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development track record, preferably in financial services or professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and business owners.
• Experience of a structured sales cycle, from cold outreach to closing.
• Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling approach.
