Business Development Manager – IT Solutions for Education

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive new business for an education‑focused IT solutions provider, targeting schools and Multi‑Academy Trusts across the North of England and the Midlands. You will be responsible for opening doors, building relationships with decision‑makers and selling comprehensive technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new B2B opportunities within the education sector.
• Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand client needs and present tailored IT support, cyber security and cloud solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular forecasts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery of services.
• Attend the head office in Skelmersdale once a week for team meetings and training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology or education.
• Proven ability to engage senior decision‑makers and drive revenue growth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for daily travel.
• Self‑motivated, ambitious and comfortable working in a fast‑growing environment.
